that's amazing! your skills are masterful! Thats the most lifelike pic on this site! Love the perfect shading and asriel's craggy brows. the cross hatching on the chin and near the nose is superb! The delicately rendered skin folds are also great. Quite a different face of Asriel than that which is usualy seen here. You are really amazing-I would love to see more of your very professional artwork.

i dont really get the Asriel feel, but either way that is BEAUTIFUL.

I agree with nightshade, it is really really life-like, and superb, but it's not quite how I imagined Asriel.

Still, it is BRILLIANTLY drawn!!!

This is absolutely beautiful! This is alot how i pictured Ajihad in Eragon actually, which is appropriate as they are mostly the same characters. The rough texture of the paper u used really adds to the whole coarse and brutal aspect of Lord Asriel-as in the NL, this is truly a face to be dominated by or to fight! The top face shows his wisdom and absolute comitment to his goal, as well as being absorbed in his studys and what his next move 4 his army will b! Very craggy and an imposing figure in both society and warfare! u did excellantly in putting across his dominating charatcer- although not nearly as i pictured him.

The bottom face is a perfect drawing of when he stares at Lord Roke and nocks him into the wine glass-that incredibly fierce and defiant look. i love the way u only half finnished the drawings- it gives the art such a style! u r amazing at drawin faces-don't stop!!!!!!

this is just how he looks

I did not picture him anything like that, but still amazingly drawn. Nice use of shadows too

TotalyLyra: on 01/14/2007

WOW! awesome pic but I thought lord Asriel was saposed to be DARK,UPRIGHT,PROUD,HANDSOME,CUNNING AND THOUGHTFUL. I think u dramatized the dark and thoughtful part a bit...

Blaikie: on 01/25/2007

Jeesus! that's amazing! I used to picture Asriel as young and handsome, but now i think i'll picture him as slightly older, still kinda handsome, but grim.

Perfect thats all I need to say

Allie: on 03/06/2007

This picture is amazing! You managed to capture Asriel's authority as well as gentleness, thought, and spirituallity all at once!

Koni: on 03/10/2007

So far, this is by far the Best Lord Asrial of them all. It's the closest to what I imagined him as. Having authority, but not looking cruel and angry. Intelligent, just, rebellious. GREAT JOB!!!

HelenaHermione: on 03/26/2007

Very life-like, beyond imagination.

Amazing... not how I imagined him but wonderful... I am shocked!

namster: on 02/03/2008

INSANELY well-done, Rich... but I never imagined Lord Asriel would look like Ian McShane.

iphegenea: on 03/22/2008

He looks just like Vincent Price. Good nonetheless.
