I'm guessing this is meant as a posed portrait rather than Asriel as we first meet him, and none the worse for that. Stelmaria looks more like a tiger than a leopard to me, but perhaps that's just me.

Wow!!! Its like you've been inside my mind and seen how i've imagined him! Honestly! I'm not too sure about Stelmaria though, she looks a bit too friendly. Thats stupid! If i'd drawn her she'd look somthing out of a horror movie!

Thanks to all for the comments...both flattering and immensely helpful. I'm excited by the movie news and hope to get cracking on more art; I already had Lord Roke and his blue hawk, and King Ogunwe, but have not finished them as I've had to take a backburner for some time. RE: watercolors...I don't know, I think watercolors are easier than acrylics for sure, and I think my approach to watercolors is just to let it flow and not think too much about it, and use different brush sizes for detail.
