i think coz so many people associate manga wiv pokemon and all the other cruddy yu-gi-oh type things, the style's bin given a bad name. Like if u even DARE mention u r a manga artist on elfwood or stuff, then people immediately say " go get u r own style" or " how plain can ya get?" which is so unfair as there r sum real gd manga artists out there........soz -totally off the subject! i luv Pan 4 sum reason- he seems just right with the wedge shaped face and big glinting eyes! Lovely soft smudging, and the position of Lyra's hands is very acurate. Skirt a bit short maybe, but i luv her backpack clutching stance-she seems eager 4 4 adventure! Hair very fine and natural (in the way it falls) and ya gotta luv her expression, radiating happiness and optimism. nice sketch.

I sorta do manga/anime drawing I'm thinking about doing one for fun of Lyra and Pan. I don't know. I'm just thinking about it because I'm still not very good at manga stuff. If anyone wants me to send them a pic all they have to do is tell me there email and that is all I will do with the email promise! I really love your drawings because they are so life like, or at least to me and I LOVE Lyra's expression too.

If HDM were done as a manga, Reedie should be the one to do the main sketches. (The Pokemon style of the drawing makes me wonder about the potential for misunderstandings if the fandoms of Pokemon and HDM collided. If Will and Lyra cut a window into the world of Pokemon, would Ash and Misty think Pan and Kirjava are Pokemon and challenge Will and Lyra to a battle? And what would happen if Mrs. Coulter tried to use her Silver Guillotine on Ash and Pikachu? Imagine her reaction when nothing happened!)

Hahah Watcher, interesting approach.. I doubt Lyra or Will would accept to battle agains other pokemons, but perhaps it was for autodefense! And well i don't know if in the pokemon world exist normal animals.. i think yes, so maybe they wouldn't think Pan or Kirjava are pokemons :P haha
