i like it a lot, but Lyra is a little messed up. You can't tell reallu were she's facing.

Yes it is Pan. This scene is meant to be just after Will has closed the window and the bangles and stuff that Lyra is wearing are meant to be the things that the Gyptians gave her (As they had just spent a two week journey with them). She is looking at the window (meant to be!)

i'm attracted to the definate randomness of this drawing ;)

the colouring is very effective here, and i like the neat idea of Lyra picking up trinkets on her travels (even if it wasn' in the book), and adding them to her scruffy outfit and personality. It seems a great idea: as if the knowledge and scraps she has collected on her journey can be displayed physically also, as a permanent reminder of the hardships and joys she witnessed. A very touching, heart deep picture, and i can tell u spent a lot of time and effort on it. I didn't think Pan would that red, and Lyra is too thin, but the touches like the clock tower in the distance and the brilliantly drawn tree all combine to make this picture masterful in its uniqueness. well done Lyra at heart age 13!!!!!!!

Thanks everyone!! yeah Pan_Kirjava_Isabelle, I designed the clothes a bit strangely coz that is what I imagined the Gyptian people to wear, and she would be wearing Gyptian clothes almost definitely coz she had just been on a two week journey with them. I am really pleased with your comments Lizzietiffon01!! You really get what I am trying to put forward in this picture!! I wanted it to have so many different and hidden meanings to it and you nailed a lot of them!! I am sorry about the colour of Pan!! The only colour that I have that looks like what I think Pan's colour would be, is this one. I tried to make it a little less red by not pressing as hard, but it didn't look right compared to everything else coz it wasn't bold enough. I also want to apologise about the bench, which I am surprised noone has commented on yet! it is waaay out of proportion. I am sorry, I tried! Thanks so much again everyone, I really appreciate all the comments I have on these pics coz everyone helps me improve on my skills.xxx

despite the small problems listed above, i like the mood and the intricate details in this drawing, and the drawing itself. I love how lyra looks like she's swaying a bit in the breeze, and how u can tell she's a little bit defeated. The thing i didn't like was how Pan seemd a little flat to me, and how lyra's shirt is a little confusing.

Also sorry a bout Pan again looking a little unreal. I didn't really know how to draw him in this pic. I could only imagine Lyra, but I thought this scene wouldn't look right without him. I tried my best, sorry again!

I like how she is closing up the window to the other world. It's a very cool idea and effect. I think Lyra's body is fine, and her clothes, if a bit modern, look to be where they're suppose to. Great job!

Ok, lets all calm down shall we. it's a great picture, that you've obviously put a lot of thought into. it's incredibly difficult to draw something that comes solely from your imagination. people especially. i think you really captured the mood, i like that she's sort of waving in a really sad way. the colour is nice aswell. ok so it's not perfect but at least you tried! your next drawing will be better for it. no drawing is ever perfect anyway so people need to stop being so critical...blimey!

Don't worry, critisism is good for improvement anyway but I just ignore hermie's comments coz she thinks she can get a rise out of me critisizing everything I do, but I hate to break it to her, it ain't gonna happen. its only difficult if your not good at it, it doesnt matter wat it is, if you want to, you can just draw it, i honestly dont understand why people always moan saying its so difficult, its just a shape! in this case a fire hydron . . .

To clear up the "Fire Hydrant" thing, I didn't really know how to picture Pan in this scene so I just sort of put him sitting meant to be staring where the gap was and trying not to show much emotion, mirroring Lyra. I didn't want to show their faces and so I tried drawing him like this and I guess I just didn't get the shape right. Sorry, can't get it right every time. :)

I think Lyra looks a little modern here, but I do like the concept of odds and ends being picked up along the way. The background is lovely too. Great effort, keep drawing!

K. Did you create your "Lyra" from a picture of Kingdom Heart's Kyrie? Because it looks almost EXACTLY like that.

Yes! I like using Kairi as a sort of model coz I think she has the right kind of shape and stance as Lyra would!!! Glad you noticed!!! ^_^
