Thanks, I always had a really hard time picturing the mulefa.

Perfect
Flo&Godge: on 04/12/2006
Really, really BRILLIANT... but I thought the mulefa had horns.
Neville87: on 04/15/2006
Woah! Your drawings are so amazing!!! I'd like to draw like that...That's a real gift. Don't loose it!
silversong: on 04/16/2006
They do, Flo and Godge. Looks somewhat like another ear, though...
aisilin: on 04/24/2006
totaly dig that mulefa
: on 05/01/2006
no need to comment on anything by bill mudron... all perfect...
:P: on 05/02/2006
close enough 2 a muelefa 4 me.
Anna: on 05/08/2006
It's very good. Not great but very good. I kinda imagined Mary to have long frizziy hair, but that's good to. the mulefa is the exactly what I imagined and more!
???: on 05/15/2006
ya i had a hard time imagining what they looked like...well now i know!!
: on 05/25/2006
Her head looks strangely... um.... square. But otherwise I love it!

You have the configuration of the Mulefa all wrong. Forgive me, its an amazing piece, but I feel I must correct you. The Mulefa are clearly stated to have a diamond shape, with a leg on both the left and right, and also two legs paralell to them. The Mulefa then hooked their claws on their right and left legs into the seedpods and pushed their front and back legs on the ground to give then movement and momentum. Also I don't recall the Amber Spyglass ever mentioning the fact that they have a hor, but I could be mistaken. Other than that, great picture, I admire your daring to pursue a drawing of someone other than a main charecter.
Lizzietiffon01: on 06/29/2006
Hey, anonimous-they do have two parallel legs in the middle and one leg at the front and back! Maybe you just didn't look closely. I had to first time. And whats a hor? Great pic whoever drew this! The mulefa is a lot like i imagined them in the book- nearly exactly- its unnatural! I tried to put my mental image onto paper but totally messed it up! You did it brilliantly! Marys not exactly as i imagined her though, but thats just me.
glittercloud: on 07/16/2006
i didnt really understand what lizzie said but i thought they had the front and back legs with wheels. Like a bike! They said they looked like bikes. I hope that was what you ment. I like the mufela though i imagined them slimmer and less bulky.
Lady A: on 07/18/2006
I adore the expression of Mary Malone even if rather imagined it with long hair and a chignon. The mulefa is brilliant! I imagined it exactly like that even if Pullman describes it differently and I like much the "style" of the drawing. Cheer!
Zoe: on 07/21/2006
I may not picture the mulefa like that, but you have to admit, that is an awesome picture. I wish I had half that talent.
Savvy: on 07/22/2006
I thought they didnt have spines? meh,< ( means what ever ) Still looks great!
Lizzietiffon01: on 07/23/2006
glittercloud, i meant that i thought that Bill drew the legs in the right place, but you're right i saw them wiv wheels on the front and back legs as well. The other person thought they had the legs in the wrong place.
Lee: on 08/01/2006
hehehe thats exactly the way i pictured the mulepha well done good scetch
Alice: on 08/08/2006
No, the picture is correct. The mulefa use their lateral legs to push them along, and their front and back ones are connected to wheels -- though if they both connect to one wheel or if there are two separate wheels I can't really tell...
Lizzietiffon01: on 08/09/2006
it looks 2 me as though there is only 1 wheel though...........complicated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Charlotte: on 08/18/2006
It's a great pic. The mulefa must have wheels on their front and back legs as the book refers to Will leaning into corners as you would do on a bike. You wouldnt have to do that if the wheels were on the lateral legs as they would balance. I am quite confused still by the composition because the mulefa only seem to have one wheel? i picture them to have one on each leg like a bike. otherwise it just doesn't balance when it's moving?! Anyway still a great cartoon ~!!!!!
lizzie brooks: on 01/02/2007
yeah, they are supposed to have two wheels. and i think that they are supposed to be smaller, too. maybe.
andrea: on 02/27/2007
nice.
daemon_archer16: on 03/05/2007
Its a great drawing, but there are a few 'mistakes'. the mulefa have 2 wheels, like bikes because it says they get "wheels' when they are older, not a wheel. I imagined them a lit longer, not as pushed up. And they're not supposed to spines, i think? More like elephants than warthog or gazelle. But its a great picture! i wish i could draw as good as you!

ok all u smartypants
i love this pic
and i lvoe all bill mudrons pics [that ive seen on here neway]
i think he shud be a character designer or summing, if hes nt already
bt for all u hu think uve got the mulefa skeleton down
these are the facts:
mulefa have a diamond frame, ie their backbone is effectively shaped like a diamon daround the ouside of their body. they ahve no spine - rather their backs are more 'well sprung cushions'
they ahve a leg on ezch of the corners of the diamond; one at the front which holds a wheel beneath the head and trunk, one at the back which also holds a wheel, and 2 at the sides which push along any flat surfaces.
they are described as ahving 2 horns :s dno how tho, so ill leave that t ur interpretation.
anyway .
basically human bikes . even more well described, like THE WHEELERS from return to oz . oh yes .
lol
bt yea
love this pic
keep up the gd work

the mulefa is cool
Dukeleto: on 05/16/2007
That's an awesome design, I don't really care if it's "correct" or not!
Fadwen: on 06/11/2007
It was really hard for me to put a mental picture together of the mulefa, you've captured it completely! Keep up the excellent work!!
Koni: on 07/16/2007
Oh wow! That is a really great sketch! And it appears as if you did it with pen too!..? That is amazing! I'm too paranoid to use pen, which is just as well, because I never produce anythingI would even dare to call artwork with one! :) But that is really great. I just love seeing how everyone interprets the different creatures and characters, and yours is one of my favorites!
Carebear: on 08/27/2007
The mulefa looks like a boar! I don't like it.
Conor: on 12/21/2007
emmm its a good pic... but the mulfea isnt ment to have a spin... and the meant to be diamond shaped
