Kinda reminds me of the protagonists (Terry and Princess Dawn) from an old cartoon I saw in the late 1960's/early 1970's called "Here Comes the Grump." Interestingly, the cartoon was also about a boy from our world who has to help a girl his age in another, parallel world. Incidentally, Dawn had a shape-shifting pet (called Bip, if memory serves.) And like Pullman's protagonists, Terry and Dawn used a Zeppelin to travel around their fantasy world. This drawing has the same charm. My only real complaint, where is Pan?
