Dakota in TV adaptation of 'Dustbin Baby'

I wonder if any of you in the UK saw the TV adaptation of Jacqueline Wilson's novel 'Dustbin baby', starring Juliet Stevenson and Dakota Blue Richards over Christmas?
I thought Dakota played an excellent part and thoroughly enjoyed the (slightly syrupy) story.
Unfortunately it's finished its run on the BBC iPlayer but no doubt it will turn up again soon.

what interests me more than the cast is why would any parents leave their baby in a bin?

Stardate 53476.8. Captain's log. Still won't flush. I'll try again later.

I saw it recently. I thought Dakota was great in it.

Yeah, it did get a bit syrupy at the end there. Many things were resolved in those last five minutes, but I also enjoyed it.
