LoL so basically he was born right in the thick of any and everything considered to be british slang?

WTF do you mean by that remark?

May I respectfully suggest you read before posting. I was replying to the question asked by Witch-girl and since there were no comments in between, there was no need to quote.

No need to become so defensive. I can read just fine thank you very much. My remark basically was asking you that by living where this person lived he would know whether book was a commonly used word...hence asking about the slang bit. I quoted you but I was referring to angelofbox. No reason to respond with such disdain considering I'm American and would as well have no clue what being 'born inside the bells' would mean.

Yeah, sorry, I had just come in from the pub ....

Before, I was just trying to be helpful and explain what atf meant by "inside the bells", because I thought it was an unusual way of putting it, and lots of people wouldn't understand the reference. But I wasn't otherwise commenting on the debate, and I thought you were putting words in my mouth. Sorry, didn't mean to snap.

Yeah, that's fine I snapped a little bit too lol. I, coincidentally just came back from a bar last night when I wrote that last message. So I am sorry as well.

It's funny when the thread starts out conversing with angels yet for this entire page we've talked about slang. Perhaps we should get back on topic a bit more before we're reprimanded somehow lol.

So yeah.....talking with angels would definitely be book!

It's supposed to be animated, firing the machine gun, but that was over the 10 kb limit so I had to use a still.

I do believe in angels but I don't believe that we have guardian angels, I believe that there are such things as guides that are constantly with us. Angels are much to important to concern themselves with our daily affairs, although someone at my mums church once told me that I had had someone really high up with me recently.

What does anyone else think of angels? Do you believe?

Any particular reason for believing in angels? Just curious.

What are angels, actually? Are they messengers of God? I thought that was their primary purpouse.

If so, then without a God one can hardly have angels.

Are we talking HDM wise or in general?

HDM suggests that The Authority was just an angel himself and so didn't create them to assist him in any way.He didn't create them at all.

As for in general, it depends on your religious beliefs

I meant in general.
Wikipedia has this to say about angels:
An angel is an ethereal being found in many religions, whose duties are to assist and serve God. They typically act as messengers, as believed in the main three monotheistic religions.

So yes, they are messengers. What other duties were you talking about?

Thats a very medieval perception though.
Humans need to believe that they are being looked after or watched, if you will. Its a huge part of our psyche.I'm so much making a comment as explaining things to myself.

I think I need to do some real research on this before I can fully commit to an opinion.
