What's your most favouritest line from a song?
Mine would be "They're watching you from above" - Bliss, Muse.
It's purty.

The line in my signature. It's originally "Well I could sleep forever, but it's of her I dream, If I could sleep forever, I could forget about everything" but I changed the "her" to "you" for my sig. It's from the song Sleep by the Dandy Warhols.

I'm into some really deep lyrics:

"I called her on the phone and she touched herself." Say Anything

"I mix your milk wit my cocoa puff/milky, milky cocoa/mix your milk with my cocoa puff, milky, milky riiiiiight." Black Eyed Pease

"This ~*pineapples*~ is bananas, B-A-N-A-N-A-S" Gwen Stefani

*sniff* powerful stuff right there... But honestly, I can't think of my all-time favorite lyrics. Though I can say that Ben Gibbard (of Death Cab for Cutie and the Postal Service) is one of my favorite lyricists.

Lol you scared me there for a minute, Leif. I thought you were serious.

Death Cab! I love them. Soul Meets Body and I Will Follow You Into The Dark have great lyrics.

Ah, I don't know about favourite, I can't recall all the songs I know to remember...

But some I'm currently liking are:

'Just like me, they long to be, close to you...' Close to you.

'You're just innocent, a helpless victim of a spider's web and I'm an insect, going after anything that I can get' - Tangled, Maroon 5

'Hey there little snapping turtle, snapping at a shell, there's mysteries inside but what they are I just can't tell for sure...' Little Orange Spider (I think? I forget the name of the dude, Devendra something.)
"To him whose elastic and vigorous thought keeps pace with the sun, the day is a perpetual morning."

I'm not much of a music person so I haven't got favorites.

Here is one I like because it's cheeky: 'There's only music so that there's new ringtones'--The Shins.

“He said, ‘Son, can you play me a melody
I’m not really sure how it goes.
But it’s sad and it’s sweet
And I knew it complete
When I wore a younger man’s clothes.’”

—Billy Joel, “Piano Man”

“Seasons change with the scenery
Weaving time in a tapestry.”

—Paul Simon (and Art Garfunkel), “A Hazy Shade of Winter”
“‘Tagoona, if I held you by your heels from a third-story window, you would have a problem.’ Tagoona considered this long and carefully. Then he said, ‘I do not think so. If you saved me, all would be well. If you dropped me, nothing would matter. It is you who would have the problem.’”--Margaret Craven, I Heard the Owl Call My Name

"Off all the things which man can do or make here below, by far the most momentous, wonderful, and worthy are the things we call books." --Thomas Carlyle

A great deal of the bad writing in the world comes simply from writing too quickly. Of course you reply, 'I do it to save time.' A very good object, no doubt: but what right have you to do it at your friend's expense? Isn't his time as valuable as yours?" -Lewis Carroll

Who wants to live forever
Who dares to love forever
When love must die

Who Wants To Live Forever - Queen

The way that Freddie Mercury delivers that last bit is just heartbreakingly beautiful.

and from the same song:

And touch my tears with your lips
Touch my world with your fingertips

My plug in baby, crucifies my enemies

Plug In Baby - Muse

One of my favorite Muse songs.

Forever young
I come from God knows where
'Cos now I’m here
Without a hope or care

I am trouble
And I am troubled too

My name is Tristan
And I am alive

Tristan - Patrick Wolf

Amazing song.

Another of my all time fave song lyrics:

Time Is Running Out - Muse wrote:I think I'm drowning
Asphyxiated
I want to break this spell that you've created
You're something beautiful
A contradiction
I want to play the game, I want the friction
...
I wanted freedom
Bound and restricted
I tried to give you up
But I'm addicted
Now that you know I'm trapped
Sense of elation
You'd never dream of
Breaking this fixation

<3 Muse.

Well, technically the whole song I <3 the lyrics to but...

John Rzeznik wrote:I am a question to the world
Not an answer to be heard

...[later]

And I want a moment to be real
Want to touch things I don't feel
Wanna hold on and feel I belong

And how can the world want me to change
They're the ones that stay the same
They don't know me
'Cause I'm not here

...[later]

And how can the world want me to change
They're the ones that stay the same
They can't see me
But I'm still here

They can't tell me who to be
'Cause I'm not what they see
Yeah, the world is still sleepin' while I keep on dreaming for me
And their words are just whispers and lies that I'll never believe

Darn, yeah, I should have just pasted the whole song, it was hard enough picking bits...
