Wanted: Reviews

Postby Will » Sun Jul 30, 2006 4:35 pm

I'd like to expand the Philip Pullman section on the site with a view to developing it into a more full resource on the man and his works. I confess that aside from HDM I've only read Clockwork (Lockhart boxset guiltily waiting in the wardrobe..) so I'd like some help in knocking up a section on his other books - most notably, Sally Lockhart of course; the two fairy-tales of Clockwork and Scarecrow; and his 'adult' books of The White Mercedes ( / Butterfly Tattoo), Galatea and The Haunted Storm.

Would anyone be interested in helping out? Simple reviews would be a good start; I'd just make a page for each book with the cover-art and synopsis to being with.
Q: If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God tell you when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?
Pullman: Well, I'm retiring, would you like to take it on ?

Found 'em. Realized I've read the Ruby in the Smoke already. Going to have to read it again though.

Update:

I'm looking for a few good writers who have read some of Philip Pullman's other works to write short summaries. It won't be much work at all, and it will be greatly appreciated! Please PM me for more info.

I'm a Literature student - so hopefully quite good at writing by now. As well as Clockwork, Sally Lockharts and Butterfly Tattoo, I have managed to get copies of Haunted Storm & Galatea which I will be reading for my dissertation anyway so I'd be glad to write some summaries :) Anything specific you want included, rough word count???
