The game should in that case be started on meanwhile the movie is shooted. I does not have to be great, as long as it is not horrible.

Personally, I don't feel that The Golden Compass lends itself very well to being a game anyway. Most of my attraction to HDM was borne of my desire to explore and be a part of the fascinating worlds in which it is set. Playing a linear game that takes me through a bunch of places I've already heard about doesn't really interest me at all.

A better idea would have been to do an MMO, set in the HDM universe during the War on the Authority, and have it released on everything with a modem in it. It could even have made a good RTS.

I loved the game and I don't even like playing video games. But I had to play this one because it is HDM realated. Yeah I just played it on PSP.
I think this was a good idea making. Because it has time to follow parts in the book that the movie dident. Such as in Trollsund you play as Lyra and get to pick out the bow that Serifina used. Plus they had more of the original ending to the game. It is in fact the best game I have played in I don't know how long :?: , because I don't ussally play games.

Well at least they got Bolvangar and Svalbard in the right order.

Its another of those games where you run around as a little character collecting random junk and talking to badly animated people... Yeah, I got it for PS2 at X-mas and didnt even finish it, some levels were okay... Other were just tedious and time consuming.

It easy for non-gamers to enyoy a game that all gamer think is bad. But if you knew how many better games there are, I don't think you love it that much. But it is good that someone likes it

You should try out some more games, perhaps.

I personally loved the game. I think you have to be a fan to do so though, because as a game itself it's not great and doesn't have that much action or entertainment. But I have to admit I loved taking over the role of Lyra and just doing random things, like swabbing the deck or exploring Trollesund. If you do love the books (or film), I think this game is worth a shot, because it's actually kind of amazing to be able to explore that world in such ways. It's as if it's coming alive.. :) and there are lots of cute details all over it. I strongly recommend it.

And well I'm not a full-time gamer, but I did play my share of adventure games.. :)
And this is deffinately one of my favorites.
