I just had to register and share what happened.

I was reading this thread, and decided to just open my mind and let it wander. I was thinking a few days ago in an off-hand way when I went to work that my daemon would be a Mastiff. Tough on the outside, but just a big softie on the inside. I've had people tell me that I should be a cop, but I know I'm not serious enough for it. I'm very random, and like to bounce from one thing to another. Frankly, if I got police powers I would probably use it to mess with people's heads ala Super Troopers

I wasn't expecting much. But when I just let my mind drift and I stared at the bookcase, it came to me so clear I could _almost_ see it. A big crow-sized black and white bird with a yellow beak.

I had seen these birds often since moving to the valley I live in. They're loud, and always bouncing this way and that, calling to one another and fluffing up their feathers and doing mock battles in squawking voices before settling back down again like nothing had ever happened. They're clowns, and have a fierce sort of intelligence. But I've seen one or two of them dive down at people in retribution when they're bothered.

That is what I could easily see -- and not quite see -- on my book case. Either I'm bored or crazy or... well, I don't know. But I guess my daemon, if there is such a thing, is a Yellow-Billed Magpie.

Well, I thought my dæmon would be a wolf, but when I took the test, I found out I had a wildcat. Since then I've been able to just glimpse Anicites' silhouette, or hear him talk. It's too bad that I haven't figured out how to properly see him... I haven't really asked what people would think my dæmon is, but I guess I could try.

Meh, I'm a lazy and (sometimes) intelligent person with a love for anything that can test my wits. I'm amazingly stubborn and worry over the littlest things, and I can get hyper and random, though according to the group of friends I hang out with, I'm the most serious one. ...People I meet online to roleplay with tend to think I'm anywhere from 16 to 26 years old, because of my extensive vocabulary, and I absolutely adore writing and creating worlds for other people to experience. Ok, I usually prefer seclusion. I like small friend groups and not big widespread ones. I enjoy the hustle and bustle of the city because I like the fact that it seems like there is always something going on. I am very sarcastic, some think me a little cruel as I enjoy teasing my friends, I am very respectful but only to those who I deem worthy of respect!

If I haven't been clear enough ask me some questions plz.

I'm intelligent, though I like to goof off and be silly. I enjoy spending time alone, but I tend to gravitate to where my friends are. As a long distance runner and an avid reader though, I am very used to spending time with myself and my own thoughts. I like to believe that I'm very loyal, and if you asked my friends they would agree. I keep a reasonably wide social network, but I know who my TRUE friends are, and they know who they are. Very family oriented, my parents and sister come before everyone else for me right now. When I have my own family that may not be true, but it is for now.

I would like a wolf, not because of any fondness for the animals but because I think that's pretty accurate based on my personality. Thoughts?

Edit: I took the OKCupid daemon test and I was told, "Your daemon would most likely manifest itself in the form of a wild dog such as a wolf or a fox. The specie and the size of it is dependant upon the ranges of the scores and other factors, most notably geographical area, as a daemon is likely to take the form of an animal native to your area.

I would have some type of monkey. An orangutan is what I tend to think. I see some kinship in their eyes.

Well, I'm quite opinionated. Although, I do love an intellectual challenge and will accept when I am wrong. I love exploring new ideas. You could say I’m a social person, but I also am ok with being alone. I wouldn’t say I proffer it, its just I don’t mind being alone. I like traveling. I do well in physical challenges but I am not an athlete. I like warm weather compared to cold. My only fears are the ocean or drowning. I don’t run into a situation without thinking of the consequences but when my minds made up, it’s final.

Anyone have an idea of what kind of daemon I would have?

You can go to this site and generate a daemon by taking a 20 question quiz. After it shows you your daemon (and names it) you can send it on to friends to see if they might make some changes which may change your daemon. Mine was changed 3 times by friends. after 12 days it will settle.

That quiz. It sucks. xD Someone on the daemon Forum made a better one, but I can't seem to find a link. Anyway, your own intuition beats an internet quiz. =D I got jackal on that quiz. .__. I'm very much a mustelid, not a canine. x)

If I find the link to that other quiz I'll post it. =)

This test is OK, not as ridiculous as I thought it would be and fairly close to the animal I thought I'd have (thought I'd have a lynx, one of the options this gave me was African hunting dog... think I'll stick with lynx). In fairness, these always give you random answers, the top one for this was a toucan (which is kinda cool) or a crow but the last one I took (way back when) said I'd either be a wolf, a bear or a big cat of some description (hence lynx, and not too far away from the old African hunting dog)

Your Score: Jokester Soul
You scored -3 Extroversion, -13 Sensitivity, and 10 Openness!

You are a confident person with a strong sense of self. You can be loud and jocular, and you don't really care who hears you. You don't spend too much time stressing about how other people see you. If they like you, well, good for them. If they don't like you, well, that's their own problem.

People need to earn your respect in order for you to really start taking them into consideration. You might bend yourself over backwards for a friend or family member, but you aren't going to give that sort of special treatment to any old Joe Blow. Your loved ones know that under that bold, brash exterior, there is a person who is loyal and even clannish at times. You will fight to defend your friends and family from any and all comers. With these special few, you drop that joking exterior and be your real self.

Your daemon's form would represent your confident ways, your joking and insensitive manner, and your secret tendency for softheartedness. He or she would probably help you criticize all the idiots whom you meet on a day to day basis, and back you up when you are on the defensive.

Suggested forms: Magpie, Raven, Kangaroo, Wild Boar.

That was long but interesting. It didn't have many throw away questions. Additionally, it gave me something similar to what I had decided what was a fit several pages ago, a black bird. I'm not sure where the kangaroo came from.

No one really knows who they are man.
It's not something you just know, it takes soul searching.

I am sure you have some idea, and perhaps your 'daemon' is just not settled yet.

That's the best daemon test I've ever taken, the only one ever to predict 'bear' - which I've known for a long time is my daemon.

His name is Talbrax, for the record.

That's the quiz I was talking about, but couldn't find. x3 It was made by Carol & Brero from the daemon Forum. It's better than the TGC site one.

That OKCupid test was certainly interesting.
Suggested forms: Swan, Elephant, Koala, Panda, Chameleon, Wolf.
