Especially love the candle shot :) Is it in front of an old-fashioned dresser in the dark?

I joined this forum shortly after turning 17, and for several years was liable to be
any combination of angry, self-righteous, naive, uninformed, curt and belligerent.
Luckily this teenage attitude is only occasionally evident in my posts - but where
it is, I apologise, and ask you to read them with the understanding that I am no
longer quite so consumed by any of those characteristics.

Thank you. :)
Actually, it's an iron chandelier with eight or nine candles in, so those are just two of the candles in the background. Last night in the summerhouse we only had the candles going while we had some snack and talked, so it was fairly dark except for the light emitted by the chandelier and a few other candles.

Darn it, I can never take good photos of anything! I love that candle pic, brynjarbjorn. I like how you can see the two in the background, too.
Yo yo! I'm currently the forums least quickest poster. :)... Probably.

Welcome back, jasman and my deep-seated jealousy of where you get to live. That sunrise is too lovely.

That is a glorious sunrise, Jasman, the sunset as well.

Today was an odd mixture of wind and snow, hail, rain before now late in the afternoon turning to sunshine and still weather. The friendly neighborhood cat from across the street sure enjoyed himself in our front garden:

Yesterday I took a walk in a little forest on a hill called "Öskjuhlíð", in Reykjavik.
Naturally I brought the camera along, the main objective to photograph some of the inhabitants, but I mostly just ended up with pictures of the forest floor.

The second last picture is of an artificial geyser that's situated on top of the hill, besides a building called Perlan (the Pearl).

There's a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious—makes you so sick at heart—that you can't take part. You can't even passively take part. And you've got to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels, upon the levers, upon all the apparatus, and you've got to make it stop. And you've got to indicate to the people who run it, to the people who own it, that unless you're free, the machine will be prevented from working at all

Just been doing a bit of catching up, shall have to get photographing again soon now I'm back somewhere scenic.... loving that blue tit photo there, one of my favourite small birds. We tend to get lots of them in our garden and I've always loved to watch them flitting around, how you managed to get that one stood still long enough for a photo is beyond me!

They are professionals..and a bugger to work with..

It was a hot day and they were having washes and fun in a puddle about 20 feet away, so I sat in my friend's little hide (like a small camo pop tent) and shot away..err, with camera and long lens... Took about 300 to get 50 decent ones.. I find it very relaxing to watch them, all birds. (But no I don't do it as a hobby else you'd find me snoring as it can be too relaxing sometimes..)
