i'd probably walk straight through it without looking for sake of curiousity and/or stupidity. then freak out, run home, get some supplies, go again (assuming i thought it was safe enough the first time i went through).

that's a really good question... I can't believe no one has asked it before. Bravo, witch-girl.

I really don't know what I would do... I'd probably take a look around, but I wouldn't go in too far. No four thousand mile journeys for me, thanks... although that would be really neat.

Hmm. Very good question.

I'd do what jessia did--go in, look around, run back home to get stuff, and go back in. Would you ever tell anybody about it? I wouldn't. Not even to my best friend. Too big of a secret, and secrets are fun!

But yeah, that would be seriously cool...

Under no circumstances would I tell the authorities. We all know what happens when the millitary gets involved... areas cordoned off under the pretence of a gas leak... security level 2 or higher required for access... absolutely no civillians allowed in... no fun at all!

Is no-one here afraid of the spectres??

Do they spell 'spectres' 'specters' in America? I'd assumed everyone was getting it wrong, but I guess it makes sense... well - American sense...

well the north american versions had -re i think. spelling it with an -er would have given me the idea of like... bookish looking creatures with thick thick glasses instead of proper ghosts.... spectacles blah blah.

i don't like some of the americanised spellings... they're basically simplifications, which takes all the beauty out of the word. oh well.

The North American versions had er, didn't they? The British editions had the original re spelling.

I would get a stick and move it through the borders and back side of the window to see what happens.

And I would try to lure some spectres into our world, to see what happens.

technically, just one spectre ravage the entire world's population, assuming it could travel to anywhere it wanted. without the angels (or witches?), the spectres don't really die. they just keep feeding... and feeding... and feeding.

You think they'd find anything there? I mean, they're supposed to go for sentient beings...

lol

Hmmm...I'd contact a secret company doing research into parallel universes (what was that one called in Timeline?) and be involved in events like those from a Crichton story.

Wait...how could that be good? :|

If they went after Bush I think they'd end up choking to death on his soul.... or maybe it'd be like that Simpsons ep. "Brains!! Brains!!!" *Grabs Homer. Peers in ear. Knocks on head. Throws Homer away.* "BRAINS!!"

WORTHWHILE?!! Don't get me started on the monarchy... The American system is much better, so long as the person with the most votes actually gets to be President...

I agree the American system is fantastic.... as long as you replace the White House staff with a bunch of helper monkeys.

Oh... I see they've done that and it hasn't turned out so well. ;)

Of course most politicians are idiots. Bush just happens to be the cream of the crap.

[Edit] Spam?! Oh come on! It wasn't THAT bad. :?

Can't someone replace those ~*Swearwords*~ with conveniently placed aster*xs, 'cos I don't know what half of them are supposed to be.

I'd look through it first, and if it seems harmless I'd definately go through! Take my digital camera...
But I'd tell no one! Maybe some of my best friends though...

wow, I also cannot believe no one has asked this before! *claps* brava.

If I found a window..well, it depends where it was. If it was Cittagaze, I'm afraid I would only go in a little bit for fear of the spectres. But if it was like, Lyra's world I would run in without a second thought and probably be hanged for being a witch or something. Or I would try to conquer it. Once I got out, I would hightail it to Oxford and try to find Will.

hmm....that would be a very interesting idea for a fanfic!
If that actually happened, however, I would just assume that I was either dreaming or that I'd finally taken some combination of pills, narcotics, and alcohol that sent me over the deep end. Either way I would enjoy myself. I think I would ask to see Lyra, if I could get over the whole not having a daemon thing. I wouldn't want people to think I was a ghost ^^; I guess if I stayed there long enough, I would have a daemon! yay!
