The National Theatre in London presented in 2003/4 a stage adaptation of the His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman in two, three hour long parts, performed back to back or on separate nights. The play was directed by Nicholas Hytner and written by Nicholas Wright. There were two runs of the play, but there are no plans to bring it back for a third time - this section of the site online will stay online as an archive of the information relating to the play.
