Adam Godley to voice PantalaimonPosted by on July 31, 2006 at 9:34 am New Line gave us confirmation today that Adam Godley, who has been listed on the Internet Movie Database for the past few days, will indeed voice Lyra's daemon, Pantalaimon, in the upcoming movies. Wikipedia informs us that he is a “British actor with an American accent.” Godley's most prominent recent roles have been as Mr Teavee in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and as Mr Trench in Love Actually. He doesn't have an American accent!! He's British for heaven's sake! He put an American accent on for the part in Charlie! When will people realize that actors do ACCENTS! Duh! His voice sounds a little old for the part. I liked the Pantalaimon voice in the BBC radio adaption. The accent's right in the Love Actually clips, thoigh.
