Many new photos of Nicole Kidman as Mrs. Coulter on the set of The Golden Compass appeared today on the internet, this time with Kidman in a different costume – described by People Magazine as “all-business” for those of you who weren't too pleased with the first costume we saw. I think she looks fantastic and she will be great in the role, For all the naysayers about to post and complain about hair color and all the other meaningless nits, you must remember, Nicole is a great actress, at least IMO. She is going to be awesome.

I think nicole kidman is really great as mrs coulter, first i didn´t think so, but now i absolutely do. she looks great, her outfits are perfect and she is a great actress.
But i´m really disappointed because of the hair. mrs coulter is my favourit character and i think it´s really important for her to have black hair! its important as she is a cruel character first and now with the blond hair it destroys my picture of mrs coulter.

I like Coulter's hair blonde – to me it says 'ice'. I've always imagined it blonde, even though the books say differently. And to whoever pointed out the HP films – exactly! Dan Radcliffe may look like Harry, but boy can he NOT act. Thank goodness we have a good actor like Nicole, even if she is blonde, than a bad actress who was a brunette.

Way back when Tom Stoppard was still writing the script, he mentioned bringing forward certain characters in order to give more identifyable villains already on. That means Hugh McPhail and Fra Pavel's lot; in the trilogy they only appear in the last book – it makes more sense to bring them forward so they're present from the first film.

Wow…Nicole Kidman sure looks tall in that suit – but I wish it was a tad bit more flattering. I think the jacket style elongates her torso a bit much but I am LOVING the boots! I think she'll make a fantastic Mrs. Coulter!

Even though Mrs. Coulter is supposed to have dark hair, I like the blonde. Nicole has that ice cold look down and the brilliant blonde hair just accentuates the look. I'm glad they didn't try to dye her hair or put it in a wig. It would have dullened Nicole, and in these photos she's striking to look at (which, we can all agree, Mrs. Coulter should be).

Is it just me or is she pregnant? There is definitly a tell-tale bump around her middle, and in the first shots (white dress) she was looking a bit more plump than I remembered. I'm hoping not, since who knows how it'll mess up with filming, but good news to her if she is!
