Ben Walker should have plastic surgery so he looks exactly like I imagined Roger to look like when I read the books. It is unforgivable that the movie makers did not consult me and my imagination when casting Roger who, despite Philip Pullman never mentioning how old Roger is in the books, is far too young. I will boycott this film after seeing it a dozen times in one day.

People are forgetting that people who are casted in films aren't always going to fit what they looked like in your imagination. Personally i think Ben is perfection for Roger (looking at this new photo, he seems a little older), and for all of you who think he looks too young, or looks nothing like you imagined him- just wait and see how he fares.

he looks more like roger as i have expected anyone to look like. i think he's fine. no actor could ever look like someones imagination of a character. but i wanna see how lyra looks like…

Hazel… Don't you think that Schrodinger's Cat was ever so slightly TAKING THE MICKEY?
Personally I think he looks great for the part – kinda cheeky and fun!

-laughs hysterically at Schrodinger's Cat, MCH, and Gus in turn-

Yay! He looks so Roger-ish to me. Look at the eyes, you can see the mischief already. The hair is also perfect. So he has huge front teeth, so do a lot of kids- it won't impair his acting performance!

ummm, i dunno what to think…my mom thinks he will make a great roger but i am not so sure… and i just saw the pic of the girl who is to play lyra and let's just say i am less than impressed. so far, the only good character match i have seen for the movie is nicole kidman as mrs. coulter…my hopes aren't high for this movie…~sigh~

Oh! Look at him! ^.^! I could just eat him he's so cute!!

I think he should be judged on his acting ability not what he looks like – as everyone will have pictured Roger differently. So, for a second chance to see Ben Walker act watch "Sweeney Todd" on Boxing Day at 10:00pm, Hallmark Channel (Sky TV)
