Can't wait to see this. Just read the book, although I wasn't wild about it. It'll be interesting to see how it adapts to the small screen. I don't see Billie Piper as Sally Lockhart. In the book she's supposed to be twelve or thirteen. Then again, she smokes opium in the book, so I am sure they had to make some changes. November 30, 1999 12:00 am | link

superbowl? pah! Yes Alewyn, most of us Brits watched it on Boxing Day when it aired in the UK - liked it, it's done well in the transition, although the plot is a little bare in places. Corsair: Piper is ok, and a big name was needed for the role to generate interest. SL is 16 in the book. So it's not so bad. November 30, 1999 12:00 am | link
