He may not be a film student or a 'film expert', as has been suggested in this thread, but at the same time he has a love of the arts, has been invovled with play writing and stage productions, and i imagine has seen a fair share of movies. you dont have to be a film student to understand how films are made and what makes a good and bad scene.
