interesting that they made a tony costa one…
and yes, Lyra is huge!

I’d imagine they are all different sizes, but have simply been photographed uniformly. Lyra’s proportions still don’t seem right though.

The face scanning technology is a staple in the toy industry now from what I understand, but really except for Asriel and John Faa everyone has funky looking faces not looking very much like their actor counterpart. I’d like to say that the Lyra figure was just photographed to match up with the others but her limbs and torso proportions seem to be adult sized… I don’t know…
I won’t be buying any of these. Nothing new in design really and they don’t seem very articulated.

Yeah, why the heck is she as tall as the adults? They do look cool, though.

If you click on the thumbnails, the URL tells you who they are. The bottom-right is Tony Costa, one of the Gyptians. He looks to have a slightly larger role in the film perhaps; the actor playing him is a stunt actor in addition and was running through some moves for the battle outside Bolvangar during the set visit.

Hmm, I wonder if it really freaks Dakota Blue Richards out, you know, to have some kind of weird likeness made of her like that? I mean, the costumes on those little action figures are quite all right, but, as someone else was saying earlier, they could definitely do better on the faces.
*shivers* I could never imagine having an action figure look like me! O_O

Yes, and I just noticed, even before reading other people’s comments about it: Why the hell IS Lyra the same size as all the adults?

Hello film company where is Roger he was to be in the series 1 release. Are we forgetting what the story is all about, I think so. Somebody needs to wake up!!

I think that they could have even made Ma Costa into an action figure, as well…

I have not seen the figure of Roger, mind you I have not seen much publicity on him either. It is as if he does not exist and he is a main character in the Book and Film, he seems to have been forgotten because of the big names in the film.

I’ll be probaly buying the Alethiometer, since I really want one. I have one on my computer and it works well, so I want to use it in synchronization with the plastic toy.

Is the alethiometer toy in the shops in the UK? If not now, when and which major retailers will stock it?

Wow…quite well done, but they could work on the faces a bit (i.e. Lyra, Mrs. Coulter, Serafina). Also, why do they all look the same size? Shouldn’t Lyra be a little smaller? Anyway, I’m still buying this stuff.
