Pullman in Virginia
May 29, 2008
According to the Barnes and Noble website, Philip Pullman is to appear at Golden Compass book event at one of their stores in Virginia, USA. Very little detail is available, other than the fact that this is scheduled to take place on Sunday June 8th at 14.00 in the store in Tysons Corner Mall, McLean VA. There is no mention of cost but if you’re interested phone or email them. To see the official listing click here.

I thought Pullman said that he’d cancelled all events like this until he was done with The Book of Dust, and that he didn’t intend to go overseas again by plane anyway, because of the damage it does to the environment?
(Translation: I WANT TO GO SO BAD, BUT IT’S OVER 1000 MILES FROM ME.)
I can’t find an email for the specific store anywhere, by the way. There’s a phone number, but I don’t like phones.
Not that I’ll be going, but I’d like to ask them for specifics anyway… Oh, well. I think that if I knew anything else about it, I’d be more disappointed about not going.
Pullman was in the USA last autumn, Skye. No idea about the circumstances of this trip though…
I live nearby and will try to attend.
i am SOOOOOOOO GOING
i can’t believe he chose a location near me!!!!!!!!
Did you guys get to go? Tell us about it!
