It was a terrible terrible experience, I strongly advice the general public not to waste money on it. The movie didn't really have a good story line, there wasn't much on "the golden compass", it might aswell have been called "the lil girl that gets lost and recued then lost again then rescued once more".. Just wait till it come on TV, I wouldn't even wast money on a rental. I have not read the book, but to I have recently seen the movie.
