Golden Compass CalendarPosted by on July 26, 2007 at 5:30 amFollowing on from the previous movie tie-in books we revealed a while ago; we’ve a snap of another as-yet unannounced publication - a calendar. It’s no great surprise one’s coming, but here’s a shot of the calendar’s cover - out in December and ready for the new year. Thanks again to Chris. Update: Scholastic have contacted us to correct the calendar cover shown here. It will be looking something more like the (updated) image below. You can view the original here.

tsippie, They are focusing on the movie. It’s not like the actual filmmakers are doing all this. And plus they need to do all this advertisement so that they make a good profit off the movie. And that way we’ll get the other two films when it is a success. I would seriously be worried if they weren’t taking advantage of these marketing opportunities. July 27, 2007 1:07 am | link

As a long term fan, in contrast with perhaps may of you here, i like the way the concept art and ideas are visually. They may not be how we imagined them exactly (usually there quite far out) but to me thats what HDM is all about, curbing the normal thinking. =]It gives us the chance to view the story in a different way. I have read all three books and what I have seen so far looks quite good, but we will have to wait and see how it turns out. I have not see anything of the lead Boy (Roger) why is this!! without him she would be going on a trip for nothing, after all he is her best friend which is what the story is about? why are they making calenders and video games instead of just focesing on the movie? i already saw an interview with dakota blue richards on youtube. and that interview was a month ago. and she’s so good!
